It all began when a group of friends brought together by a common love for photography decided to give a name to their passion. Thus was born Iris Photography Foundation in 2017. All the founding members of Iris were once students of photography of same institute. While some pursued their Diploma, many others completed their certificate course alone. But all of them, irrespective of their social or career choices, believed in one thing— the power of pictures, the power of moments crystallized forever, the power of capturing thousands of words within the right play of light and shade.
Iris is now a corporate member of the Federation of Indian Photography, FIP (CM-932). Since its inception, Iris has organized various workshops on different topics of photography, short photographic tours, and photography national salons. Conducting short courses on the basics of photography are on the cards.
As we keep adjusting to the new normal in a post-COVID-19 world, Iris plans to organize online lectures and webinars in the absence of in-person workshops and classes. We look forward to meeting you in such interactions and together capture moments worth treasuring as memories.
